11-Year-Old Hospital Patient Makes Duct Tape Wallet For NFL QB

A heartwarming story that came out of the National Football League recently involves Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson. In case you missed it, at a recent press conference Wilson showed off a custom duct tape wallet he received from a children’s hospital patient named Allison Christensen, who at the time was awaiting a heart transplant.

“So, before we get started, the best part of my week. I go to Children’s Hospital every Tuesday. This 11-year old girl, she made me this Seattle Seahawks wallet,” Wilson said, displaying the duct tape wallet during the press conference. “It’s one of a kind. The coolest part about it is it’s all made out of duct tape. You guys gotta check this out. It’s, like, perfect.”

The 11-year-old girl has since received a heart transplant and, according to media reports, is recovering from the surgery. By the time she awoke from the procedure though, the image of the duct tape wallet and the story behind it had already gone viral.
